2010 InSight Board and Committee Position Nominations

Attention InSight Members

You have the chance to be a direct-impact member of InSight by applying now for open Board and Committee member positions. In June 2010, the InSight membership will vote on all nominated members. The following positions are open for nomination:

President Elect
Secretary
Director - Education
Director - Enhancements
Director - Membership
Nominating Committee

President Elect*

3 years
1st year/President Elect
2nd year/President
3rd year/Past President

Required to attend 3-4 face to face meeting throughout the year.

Required to attend InSight Annual Conference.

Required to attend approx. 4 Board Conference calls throughout the year.

Required to attend approx. 12 Web Site Committee meetings throughout the year.

Assists the President in the management and direction of the Corporation and acts for and as the President in the latter’s absence or incapacity.

Secretary*

2 years

Required to attend 3-4 face to face meetings throughout the year.

Required to attend InSight Annual Conference.

Required to attend approx. 4 Board Conference calls throughout the year.

The Secretary maintains the records of the Corporation, records all votes of the Corporation and minutes of all meetings of the Corporation and Board of Directors, ensures appropriate notice of all meetings of the Corporation and Board of Directors, and act as clerk of the organization.

Director - Education*

Required to attend 3-4 face to face  to face meetings throughout the year.

Required to attend approx. 12 Enhancement Business Committee Conference calls throughout the year.

Required to attend approx. 12 Education/Enhancement Conference calls throughout the year.

Required to attend face to face planning meeting with SIG Volunteers.

Required to attend face to face planning meeting with McKesson.

Under direction of the VP-Education and the Board of Directors, the Director/Education shall have the responsibility of assisting in the organization of any educational conferences and provision of other educational opportunities. This includes assisting with coordination of the actions of the Education Council in planning the annual conference and program brochure publication.

Director - Enhancements*

Required to attend approx. 12 Enhancement Business Committee Conference calls throughout the year.

Required to attend approx. 12 Education/Enhancement Conference calls throughout the year.

Required to attend face to face planning meeting with SIG Volunteers.

The Director/Enhancement shall assist the VP/Enhancement in all areas relating to product enhancement processes for products not designated as enterprise-wide products, which shall be supported by the Director/Enterprise Enhancement.

Director - Membership*

Required to attend 3-4 face to meetings throughout the year.

Required to attend InSight Annual Conference.

Required to attend approx. 4 Board Conference calls throughout the year.

Required to attend approx. 12 Membership Committee Conference calls throughout the year.

Under direction of the Vice-President of Membership, oversees the formation and functionality, if held, of Regional User Groups and InSight participation at Industry Trade Shows and McKesson sponsored events/activities.

Nominating Committee Member (4 positions available)*

2 years

Required to attend approx. 8 conference calls between January – July.

Under the direction of the Nominating Committee Chair, assists in selecting slates of candidates and conducting elections for Board and elected Committee positions.

*InSight employees a Headquarters staff to help leverage volunteer time. The staff handles the day to day tasks, administrative tasks and also works as subject matter experts to help the InSight Board perform at a strategic level.
