Tips
Set up your user profile
Click "Update Your Profile" from your home page on the left. Click "Edit Profile" to make sure your contact information and product information are up to date. Other users will not be able to view this information.
From your home page, click "Update Your Picture" to upload a photo for your profile.
Customize your MyPage
Other InSight members will see your MyPage when they search for you. You can choose which settings from your member profile are visible to others by clicking on "Edit Visibility Settings" under "Action." You can also personalize your MyPage by adding widgets to pull in your Twitter feed, LinkedIn profile, Flickr slideshow, blog or other information about you.
Follow and connect with other members
From your home page, click "Member Directory" to search for members by name, company, location or McKesson product information. When you find someone you want to follow or connect with, visit their MyPage and choose "Add NAME to My Network" and select if you'd like to follow or connect with that person.
To follow someone means their activity will appear in your Activity Stream. You will be able to see who they are following or connecting with, what they are commenting on and the SIGs or Councils they join.
To connect with someone is similar to following someone but you have a mutual network with each other. Members must approve requests for connections, so you decide who you connect with. Visibility settings on your MyPage can be changed to show information to only those members listed as a connection.
Use the favorites tool
Use the "Favorite" button to mark SIGs, Councils, CSEs and discussions as your favorites so you can see all the activity around those communities or discussions. Use your home page as a dashboard to get a quick view of what's new and what's happening within your community. You can also use your home page to keep track of quick links so you can easily navigate to the areas of the website that you use most.
Join a SIG or Council
Your SIG community or Council is the go-to place to find other SIG members and see when your SIGs are holding calls or presentations. Visit the Councils and SIGs page and click the "Request to Join" button next to the Council or SIGs you wish to join. If you request to join a Council, you will automatically join all the SIGs within that Council.
Use the Discussion Forum
Visit the Discussion Forums page and click on "Join a discussion." From here, you will be able to mark a discussion as your favorite to see all activity in your activity feed or subscribe to a discussion so that every time a reply or new thread is posted, you receive an email. By replying to the email, you can reach all subscribers and post directly to the discussion at the same time.
To create a new thread, you must click in to a specific topic. Click on the "Add Thread" button. By default, your reply will be sent via email to all subscribers based on their digest preferences. You may select not to send an email.
To reply to a thread, you must click in to a specific thread. From there, you can click "Reply to Thread."
Use the enhancements tool
Choose the SIG where you’d like to enter a Customer Service Enhancement (CSE) and review all current CSEs. To submit a new CSE, click on “Add Issue.” Enter a title, enhancement summary and recommended solution. If you have a file to attach, click on the “Add” button under file. Hit “OK” to submit the CSE.
Once the CSE is entered, other people will be able to add comments to it. If you are interested in seeing when other people add comments to your CSE, please add the SIG to your favorites. You will then receive notifications on activity within this SIG. You can also subscribe to specific enhancements and vote on the importance of a CSE.
