President’s Message - July 2008
Greetings,
In anticipation of the InSight 2008 Annual Conference, I’m sure we’re all undergoing the usual preparation to ready ourselves for this once a year event. As we get budgets approved and solidify reservations, let’s not forget to acknowledge those that continue to make significant contributions that help shape and grow this organization.
InSight bestows two awards each year to deserving members at the InSight Annual Conference: the Tom Utley and Member Achievement awards. Each award is given in recognition of a member who has demonstrated outstanding service to both sustain and improve the member experience at InSight.
The Tom Utley award recognizes the best of our many volunteers who contribute their time and talents to make InSight the premier user group for McKesson customers.
Additionally, the Member Achievement award recognizes the noteworthy accomplishments of a member on behalf of the user community, including participation in InSight SIGs, Discussion Forums, the Enhancement Process and a host of other member offerings.
As with any volunteer award, the community needs to be involved. That’s where we as members come in. It’s our duty and privilege to recognize peers that positively impact InSight as a customer-run organization. If you know someone who has gone above and beyond in their volunteering or membership with InSight, why not take the time to nominate them for an award?
I also encourage every member to participate in InSight at a level worthy of a nomination. When members contribute for the benefit of other members, the influence and strength of our community continues to grow.
Sincerely,
Janet Stanek
2008 InSight President
