President's Message - February 2008
Greetings,
As we steady our feet in this new year halfway through the second month, I would like to take the time to talk about a couple of improvements and changes new for InSight in 2008. As you are well aware, in early January we rolled out our newly improved Website at www.insight-net.org. While a brief glance may not bring to light any dramatic changes, users don’t have to look far to notice the added benefits.
InSight has delivered an upgraded .Net platform that allows for benefits such as an Active Forum module used for discussion forums. The new version of this software can easily accommodate any future work requested by InSight in both a cost and time efficient manner resulting in an easier updating process.
This Active Forum module used in the Discussion Forums allows users to respond to emails and have input included in the discussion thread directly from a work or personal inbox. This feature functionality will also be part of your experience when utilizing the improved Strategic Enhancement Process.
Further, we have created Portal Pages based on your login credentials by Member, CIO, or Registered Non-Member, providing specific user role related content to be delivered to your fingertips. Obviously, as the needs of the membership grow for additional portal pages, it will be easy to implement due to the flexibility of our new platform.
I encourage you to take part of these member benefits and become actively involved with the Website. Join in on Discussion Forum threads and take advantage of our InSight community.
There will also be a new addition to NewsLink in 2008. This year, InSight’s V3 Strategic Partners Dell, Cisco, Intel and Oracle will provide Webcasts throughout the year and will submit high-level content to NewsLink in correlation with those Webcasts.
Keep an eye out for these beneficial additions that will provide InSight members a more intimate look at our V3 Partners providing Vision, Voice and Value.
