What organization/facility are you involved with? 
I am the Vertical Healthcare Practice Lead for Zebra Technologies in the Americas. Zebra is a technology solutions provider that enables healthcare facilities to better protect patient safety and increase productivity. We do this by offering different kinds of visibility technologies, including barcoding solutions, which helps healthcare facilities identify, track and manage people, processes and assets.

When did you become an InSight member?
Zebra Technologies became an InSight member in 1998. 

What originally drew you to join InSight? 
To maximize the use of our products in healthcare, it is critical that we work with key software and EHR providers to the health systems, and of course McKesson is a leader in this space. As the largest independent user group of McKesson customers, being part of InSight provides Zebra with the critical information we need to interact with McKesson solutions. 

How has the InSight community benefitted you and your organization?
With the various InSight communities, educational opportunities, and annual event, InSight delivers valuable information and unparalleled access to McKesson customers that cannot be realized through any other organization. 

Did you attend the InSight365: 2013 Annual Conference in September?
Zebra was a proud exhibitor at the 2013 Annual Conference. This is one of the best ways to directly demonstrate how our solutions can impact McKesson users throughout the hospital including in admissions, the pharmacy, the lab, and at patient bedside. For example a key component of our mobile specimen collection solution is our mobile label printer, the QLn220. This device weighs less than 2 pounds. Yet it is difficult to properly convey that on a website or a brochure. 

Additionally we were also able to use the educational sessions to keep abreast of the many changes in healthcare, which is a job unto itself.
