Initiatives for 2006 Part 1
Greetings!
I am thrilled to be participating in my first President’s Message to the InSight Membership. I would like to sincerely offer thanks to you, for electing me to serve in such a prestigious position. My goal is to carry on the fine example that Cyndi Jones has set – and though the bar is quite high – I am determined to maintain the excellence that InSight is known for. And with that, I would like to spend my debut discussing exciting 2006 initiatives and why you should be proud to be a member of this organization.
The Healthcare Industry is as closely monitored now as it has ever been. It is highly competitive, always evolving and consistently worthy of front page news on papers across the country. As active participants in the industry, we have an opportunity to make a vital impact across the board. This is a very exciting time. Stepping into the role of InSight President, I see an organization that had previously been guided wonderfully by Cyndi Jones, and will be influential in 2006.
Of course, our organization thrives because of our number of members. Each year presents an opportunity to take the initiative and encourage others to join, or renew your own membership. Being active in InSight is something to be proud of. You receive education, best practices and tips from industry leaders and have networking opportunities galore.
Plus, this year we will be introducing the InSight Annual Report. This report will be delivered to your inbox and outline information such as financials, membership updates, volunteer recognition, annual conference recap and a Strategic Partner update. This is a new initiative that InSight is very excited about, and a lot of hard work has been put forth. As a member of this organization you have a right to know where it stands financially and summation of progress made.
InSight and Mckesson’s strategic partnership will take on a new initiative this year as well. The Star product line is incredibly beneficial to all that utilize it. In the coming months, online education will be made available on the InSight Web site to improve user efficiency. I strongly encourage all to participate in these educational opportunities. Star is truly a modern, functional and flexible tool that can improve your quality of work. Look for more information regarding these educational opportunities in the coming months.
There are plenty of new initiatives to discuss. All are exciting and serve to increase the value InSight provides to you, and you in turn provide to your organization. Next month I will delve in to even more 2006 initiatives. Again, I am honored to serve as the InSight President for 2006. I look forward to updating you each month, and to meeting you in the future.
Good luck to you and your family and friends in the New Year.
