President's Message - September 2008

Greetings,

I want to thank the more than 2100 that were in attendance at the InSight 2008 Annual Conference last week in Grapevine, Texas.  The event was a huge success and that speaks volumes to how much we at InSight care about our community and about the healthcare IT industry.  As we took in all the opportunities for both top-line education and networking, we also managed to enjoy ourselves as well with social events like Friday Night Lights. 

Again, I want to send my sincerest gratitude to the Conference Planning Committee, the Education Committee, the CIO Task Force and the InSight staff for their efforts in providing InSight members year after year with the best possible event.  I’d also like to thank McKesson for their continued support.

For the new members of InSight, welcome to your first issue of NewsLink.  We’re glad to have you with us and I hope you find this resource beneficial. The October issue of NewsLink will include a full recap of the InSight 2008 Annual Conference happenings.

If any of you are like me, you’re no doubt already talking to your colleagues about everything you learned and shared with fellow InSight members at last week’s conference.  For those of you who were unable to attend, it’s never too early to start planning and I hope to see you in Orlando, Florida next September 9-12 for the InSight 2009 Annual Conference.
