President's Message - November 2007

Greetings,

As I step down from my role as InSight President, I could not be more pleased with all that’s been accomplished this past year with InSight.  We’ve been innovative, dynamic, progressive, and most importantly successful in all of our endeavors throughout the year.

I can confidently say that in 2007, we not only focused on the ‘now,’ but put emphasis on our future at every level within this association.  I attribute our successes to those who continue supporting the vision, voice and value of InSight.
 
As with any organization, a leader is only as effective as his or her team and the community that he or she supports.  For that, I’d like to extend my most sincere thanks to this year’s Board of Directors, and the volunteer committees that continue to champion, advocate and drive this organization, including: the CIO Forum Task Force, Membership Committee, Nominations Committee, Web site Committee, Clinical Management Council, Infrastructure Council, International Council, Resource Management Council and Revenue Cycle Management Council.

Finally, it’s my pleasure to pass along the gavel to our incoming President, Janet Stanek, Vice-President, Support Services & CIO, Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center.  I am confident that Janet, along with our volunteers and members in 2008, will take InSight to new heights next year. I look forward to seeing our successes take shape.

As you look toward 2008, consider where you can make an impact on this organization.  I encourage everyone to make the most of InSight.  Whether by providing input, exchanging experiences, engaging your community, or volunteering, make sure you’re getting the most out of this organization by being a part of it.  

I look forward to seeing InSight prosper in 2008.
