Partnerships and Planning: What Lies Ahead
Good news! We have received some exciting and much anticipated information at InSight Headquarters. Recently, InSight was able to officially welcome a new V3 partner to the organization, and I have been eager to share the details with you.
Our newest V3 partner is Search America, a Minnesota-based company that offers various solutions for revenue cycle management issues, along with traditional debt recovery mechanisms. You may have noticed Search America’s logo placed prominently in this month’s issue of NewsLink, as well as on our Web site. This is a tremendously exciting partnership for us.
For those of you who are not familiar with the program, “V3: InSight Partners Providing Vision, Voice and Value” is an initiative that began early last year. This partnership is offered to an exclusive few, who represent four non-competing categories of the healthcare industry. Currently, our V3 partners are Oracle, Intel, Dell and, most recently, Search America. I encourage you to seek out and get to know these partners at the Annual Conference this year – they are great resources for all of us. The conference countdown is on – just two more months until it kicks off at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
Furthermore, a congratulatory note is in order. I recently attended the 2005 McKesson Executive Retreat, where several of our members’ facilities were recognized with prestigious awards. The Chairman’s Achievement Award was presented to Scottsdale Healthcare, Scottsdale, Arizona. The CIO at Scottsdale is, of course, our immediate past president, Jim Cramer. This annual award recognizes customers that have partnered with McKesson for a broad spectrum of solutions to meet their medication safety, supply chain, clinical and financial needs.
The 2006 VIP Award annually recognizes customers that demonstrate vision, innovation and results-driven performance in their use of information technology solutions from McKesson. All of the recipients in 2006 are facilities in which InSight members work. This is another example of the benefits of the strong partnership that InSight and McKesson Provider Technologies enjoy.
The 2006 VIP Award winners are:
- Concord Hospital, Concord, N.H.
- John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System, Walnut Creek, Calif.
- Methodist Medical Center of Illinois, Peoria, Ill.
- St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton, Ontario
- Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Spartanburg, S.C.
- St. Vincent’s Hospital, Birmingham, Ala.
Congratulations, again to all of the award recipients. This truly has been an exciting year for all of us. As president of InSight, I’m personally excited about the continued growth of our organization and the benefits it brings all of our members. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I thoroughly enjoy hearing from you.
