Congratulations on a Wonderful Conference Experience!
Before I recap a terrific 2005 InSight Annual Conference, I am pleased to announce that we have launched our new website! Based on the feedback we received from all of you, we have updated the site’s look and feel, navigation and content. As members of the Web Site Committee will tell you, this was a huge task! I would like to extend my thanks to each of you that attended the 2005 InSight Annual Conference. Once again our user group community came together and enjoyed unparalleled educational sessions, attended networking events that generated great ideas and garnered best-practices to make our future even more successful.
Once again, the conference planning committee provided high quality speakers to present highly beneficial education sessions. I am certain the attendees will take this knowledge to their organizations and see an immediate return on investment. Walking the floor of the Product Solutions Center I saw tremendous interaction between attendees and business partners. I hope that all attendees had a chance to visit the PSC as it is one of the opportunities that makes the conference a great experience.
I personally enjoyed the many networking opportunities throughout the week and I think you will all agree that the Margarita-ville event was a huge success.
Now in its second year, the V3 (cubed) program came together extremely well. Thank you to our partners Intel, Dell, SearchAmerica and Oracle for supporting this initiative and allowing us to provide new vendor track sessions. Those that attended gave positive responses, and InSight has great ambitions to grow this program in the future.
I would be remiss if I did not thank all of our event sponsors, and our strategic partner, McKesson. They contribute fantastic ideas and offer support throughout the year. It is always a pleasure to coordinate the conference with such committed and brilliant people. Without them, we would not be able to offer the many unique opportunities each year.
Allow me to also extend congratulations to the winner of this year’s Tom Utley Award, Nancy Dean of St. Luke’s Hospital and Health Network. Nancy has exhibited the innovative spirit that embodies this great award and deserves to be recognized. Join me in wishing her continued success. We are currently accepting nominations for the 2006 Tom Utley Award. Please visit online to learn more about the requirements.
For those of you that missed the conference, I wanted to let you know that we announced that InSight will be donating $1,000 to each McKesson customer facility affected by Hurricane Katrina. I am so proud of the fact that we are able to provide some assistance to help these organizations in their time of need. Additionally, McKesson has generously agreed to match this amount. You can learn more regarding all of McKesson’s efforts in the aftermath of the hurricane by following this link .
I would like to thank each attendee for their tireless dedication to InSight. It was a pleasure standing before you in Atlanta, and the past year has been an absolute thrill. Hopefully, you have learned as much as I have working together over the past year. For those that did not attend, we will look for you in Nashville next year. Congratulations again, and thank you for another tremendous conference.
