As you may or may not realize, I will soon be completing my term as your president and will be passing the torch to John Meharg, director of information technology services at Norman, Okla.-based Norman Regional Hospital as the new president of InSight. At the moment, it seems appropriate to briefly review where we have been and the future opportunities that await InSight.

Important Information for Potential Conference Attendees
Are you having trouble registering for the 2005 InSight Annual Conference? First, make sure your membership is active for the 2005 calendar year. If you need to renew or establish membership with InSight, you will need to apply for membership AND register onsite at the conference. Remember: If you are paying by check please have two separate checks ready to pay the $90 membership and $795 conference registration fees. Call InSight Headquarters at 312.321.6839 with any questions.

Enjoy Network Opportunities at the Conference
The InSight Networking Receptions are an exciting way to socialize with other attendees and enjoy an evening of entertainment. The Networking Receptions take place from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday, 09.23.05, and our followed by the Friday Night Closing Event, 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. This year’s closing event features a fun and exciting Margarita-Ville theme.

Improved Enhancement Model Working Session
Please join the VP of Enhancements, the Enhancement Improvement Task Force Members and your fellow colleagues for a roundtable discussion of the new, improved enhancement model. The presentation will take place 09.24.05 from 9:15 am – 10:45 am (B206). This session will provide a first-hand glimpse of how the enhancement process will work in 2006 and allow you to offer feedback on the new model.

This year InSight is welcoming all members to run for a SIG leadership position regardless of whether or not they will be attending the Annual Conference.
