I am thrilled to be participating in my first President's Message to the InSight Membership. I would like to sincerely offer thanks to you, for electing me to serve in such a prestigious position. My goal is to carry on the fine example that Cyndi Jones has set - and though the bar is quite high - I am determined to maintain the excellence that InSight is known for. |

The 2006 InSight Annual Conference Call for Speakers Closes March 31, 2006! Share your knowledge of real world solutions to everyday issues; or your experiences with tips, tricks or lessons learned on implementation, upgrades or integrations by becoming a presenter at the 2006 Annual Conference. Some hot topics our education committee members identified as of interest to InSight conference attendees include:

SIG Leadership Open Positions |

InSight is currently still looking for active members to fill the open SIG leadership positions. There are 7 open SIG Chair positions for the following SIGs:
- Horizon Medical Imaging
- Horizon Passport
- Series Radiology/Order Communications/Nursing
- STAR Medical Records
- STAR Pharmacy
- STAR Physician Products
- TRENDSTAR

Enhancement Process Update! |

This is another FYI communication related to the work of the InSight Enhancement Task Force, formed in 2004, with myself as Chairperson. The mission of the task force was to propose revision(s) to the current enhancements business process, in effort to increase value for both InSight membership and McKesson.
Thank you to ALL Insight members for supporting the efforts of this Task Force. The InSight Board of Directors will meet 01.21.06 to review the final proposal.
In the spirit of communication, highlights of the proposal are outlined below. Please stay tuned for the next communication, to be sent in late January! Presuming approval by the Board of Directors, we will begin plans to implement the process as early as March.
Proposed Name Change
Following all the work on the process, the Task Force agreed that a name change was in order. Strategic Product Change Model is being proposed.
Process Overview
Both InSight members and non-members will be eligible to submit and discuss Customer Satisfaction Enhancements (CSEs). CSEs will no longer be voted on, but will instead be categorized and prioritized based on customer discussions, as well as SIG volunteer and McKesson Liaison expertise. Six categories are being proposed - each with clear definitions. The more strategic CSEs will be further reviewed and prioritized by Customer Advisory Groups (CAGs), small focus groups made up of InSight members, SIG volunteers, McKesson Liaisons and McKesson Product Managers. Importantly, this process requires a response to every single CSE submitted either through the categorization, or subsequent discussions and/or CAGs. This is a fully transparent, closed-loop business process.
Pilot Period
Again, pending Board approval, a pilot of the new process, using the CSEs currently in the enhancement system, will commence late January/early February, 2006. The SIGs participating in the pilot are: Paragon Clinical Apps, Pathways Healthcare Scheduling, Horizon Surgical Manager, and Paragon Revenue Cycle Management.
Final Notes
CSEs currently in the enhancement system that will not be part of the pilot will be rolled over into the new system in March.
CSE submission will be disabled beginning January 15, 2025 until the new process is in place in mid March. This will allow for the transition to the new process. After January 15th, please hold your enhancement requests until the new system goes live. Detailed instructions on the new process and using the new system and will be provided in late January/early February.
