General Information

The purpose of the 1999 InSight Conference is to promote the educational interest of the members by:

  • Building collaborative relationships with vendors to define, develop, and sustain processes for current and future developments and enhancements for products, support, and services.
  • Evaluating and providing value-added services that address the needs of our members and the organizations they represent.
  • Developing and supporting active service and participation by members.
  • Providing for the free exchange of ideas, opinions and experiences among members.
  • Providing a means for the legal exchange of computer programs among members on a user-to-user basis.
  • Providing for better communications among members.
  • Providing members with the most current information available about new developments in the healthcare field.

The 1999 InSight Conference will bring together approximately 4,000 professionals in the healthcare and information systems field. This arena provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate, network and learn from the experiences of our colleagues. By attending the conference, the following benefits are available to you.


Educational Sessions
With over 575 educational, design, demonstration and open forum sessions, you can select the schedule most suited to your professional and personal needs.

Pre and Post Conference Workshops
Pre and post conference workshops provide comprehensive educational programs to allow for more focused discussions of the subject.

General Continuing Education Credit
The 1999 InSight Conference will provide upon request general continuing education credits through Emory University for the conference. In order to receive credit, attendees must complete a general CE request form which will be available in on-site conference pakets.

Pharmacists Continuing Education Credit
Pharmacists may receive upon request ACPE-approved credit through the University of Georgia for approved sessions. In order to receive credit, attendees must complete a pharmacy CE request form which will be available in any pharmacy breakout session.

Physician Continuing Education Credit
Physicians attending all sessions will be granted 13.5 hours of category 1 CME Credit by Providence Portland Medical Center, which is accredited by the Oregon Medical Association to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

Networking Opportunities
Collaborate with your colleagues and the experts on issues confronting our healthcare organizations and the management of information systems.

Job Board
The 1999 InSight Conference will offer a job board providing attendees the chance to post positions and to keep informed of career opportunities available. Look for the Job Board near the conference registration area.
