Dear IMPACT Member:

I want to take this opportunity to personally invite each of you to the 1999 IMPACT at InSight Users Group Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee on August 21-25, 1999.

At this year's joint conference, you will be able to take advantage of more than 575 educational breakout sessions including new industry and technology tracks. The product lines represented at this years conference will include HealthQuest/Impact, Pathways Products, Star 2000, Series 2000, Advantage Lab, Amherst Products Group, Access Health Group, HIA, Host 2000, Pathlab III, Payor Solutions, Practice 2000, Precision 2000, Resource Management Group, ST./Paragon, Surgi-Omni. This conference as with last year's conference should be an outstanding time to discuss significant issues that effect all of us. As you know, healthcare continues to experience dynamic change as a result of regulatory issues, technological changes, mergers and the challenges of the information age. The use of information systems to manage these dynamic changes as well as lower cost and improve quality has become even more important for healthcare organizations. The Board of Directors of the User Groups as well as committees have worked very diligently to put together one of the finest conferences of this type in the industry.

This year's conference marks the second users conference that brings together all of HBOC's provider customers. The 1999 Planning Committee has been working very hard to assure that educational sessions, demonstrations and open forums will provide you with the information and tools you need to be more effective in your organizations. In addition to the educational sessions this conference allows you to network with peers, make new networking contacts, and dialog with representatives from HBOC and other product experts who can help you with the challenges that are ahead.

At the conference you will also have the opportunity to see demonstrations and new offerings of products that support the diverse healthcare enterprise. These will be presented in both the Product Solution Center and in special demonstration areas throughout the conference. The opening session of the conference will feature a keynote address by McKesson HBOCs President and CEO, Mark Pulido.

This year also marks a new format for the distribution of conference information. This At-A-Glance brochure includes general conference information as well as registration and housing forms. In addition it also explains how you can access detailed session (i.e. by product area) and narratives either via the internet or by a fax on demand service and/or by mailing in a postcard to receive this information via mail. At the conference you will also have an opportunity to enjoy the relaxed environment of the Opryland Hotel. Nashville offers a wide array of activities for all members of the family.

Please plan to join your fellow IMPACT members in Nashville, Tennessee for the 1999 IMPACT at InSight Users Conference.

Sincerely,

Donald L. Bunker
