Often during this time of year, we acknowledge what we are thankful for. With that said, I would like to thank everyone in the Insight family for their support of me and the board during 2008. We have taken many steps this year in growing our capacity for year-round education and networking and have only good things to look forward to.

For those of us frequenting the InSight Web site we've been able to see the upgrades firsthand. InSight’s most recent functional tool addition is the Dynamic Searchable Membership Directory with survey capabilities.

Because the directory is tied directly to our expanded Member Profile form, InSight members can narrow their search field to locate others in very specific fields including facility bed size, organizational business lines, McKesson products and SIG preferences.

Since the success of these tools is dependent on the involvement of our membership, it's important to keep our community base strong.

If you renew before February 1, 2009, Individual Member renewal is only $90. On February 1, 2009, you lose the 25 percent discounted rate and pay the full new member fee. New and joining members must pay$120.

If you have not yet done so, please take a moment to visit the InSight Web site and fill out your member profile. In order to receive the maximum benefit from the new Dynamic Searchable Member Directory, members need to complete their profile. The comprehensive demographic categories and questions provide the best opportunity for members to find one another according to specific topics of interest, McKesson products and more.

The 2009 CIO Forum Webcast series, jointly presented by InSight and McKesson, with support from InSight's V³ Partners, will present eight Webcasts starting in February and extending through September.

Webinars will be based on relevant CIO-related issues covering a wide breadth of topics from customers and best-business practices to new industry technologies and improving work environments. Exact dates will be released when available.

The Webcast series will once again lead up to the CIO Forum at the InSight 2009 Annual Conference, which will take place September 9-12 in Orlando, Florida.

Please remember that this quarter's CSE discussion period ended on December 15, 2008. All CSEs entered by 9:00 am CST on December 15 will be categorized by 3:00 pm CST on December 31.
