As we steady our feet in this new year halfway through the second month, I would like to take the time to talk about a couple of improvements and changes new for InSight in 2008. As you are well aware, in early January we rolled out our newly improved Website at www.insight-net.org. While a brief glance may not bring to light any dramatic changes, users don’t have to look far to notice the added benefits.

InSight has delivered an upgraded .Net platform that allows for benefits such as an Active Forum module used for discussion forums. The new version of this software can easily accommodate any future work requested by InSight in both a cost and time efficient manner resulting in an easier updating process.

This Active Forum module used in the Discussion Forums allows users to respond to emails and have input included in the discussion thread directly from a work or personal inbox. This feature functionality will also be part of your experience when utilizing the improved Strategic Enhancement Process.

Further, we have created Portal Pages based on your login credentials by Member, CIO, or Registered Non-Member, providing specific user role related content to be delivered to your fingertips. Obviously, as the needs of the membership grow for additional portal pages, it will be easy to implement due to the flexibility of our new platform.

In order to ease the transition into our new platform full of more comprehensive communication tools like the Active Forum Discussion Forums, CSE (Enhancement) Forums and the ability to customize your SIG preferences in order to receive information you deem most valuable, we have provided you with simple instructions on how to get started.

The improved Strategic Enhancement Process has been launched. These additional features have been created for the Strategic Enhancement Process:

• Creation of an enhancement tab on the home page:
  • All Customer Satisfaction Enhancement (CSE) links moved to the new tab
• Improved navigation and usability:
• Email notification when CSE:
  • Submitted
  • Ability to reply to submission and discuss CSE
  • Discussion of CSE will be archived in the history of the CSE
  • Final status of CSE
  • Ability to opt in or opt out of emails by SIG.
• CSE Edit Mode Changes ( SIG Enhancement Leader):
  • New categories
  • Ability to change categories

McKesson has launched a new and improved e-answers knowledge base, which provides customers with anytime, anywhere answers to non-critical questions for their McKesson Provider Technologies solutions. Among the enhancements are expanded search capabilities, improved ease-of-use and navigation, and single-sign on technology.

The new version provides a personalized customer experience so the product content that the user views is for the products they license. The knowledge base can be accessed 24x7 from SAGE Web, McKesson’s online case tracking and submission tool for customers. The knowledge base, which requires a login, also can be accessed from a link to SAGE Web on the For Customers Website.
